Lillie Virginia Kline (Weaver)

Lillie Virginia Kline was born November 6, 1879 in Wolfsville, Maryland. The seventh born child to Josiah and Susan. Prior to her marriage to John M Weaver in 1907, Lillie may have worked as a servant in the Kepner household. They had a total of seven children.

The 1900 Census for Frederick, Maryland, at the address of 32 East Third Street, with the family of J.D. and Nancy Kepner with their son B. Evard. J. D. worked in construction while Evard was a dry goods Salesman.

Having married in 1907, the 1910 Census shows Lillie and John living in the Franklin Township of Adams County, Pennsylvania. At the time they had two children; Franklin C., and Harry T.

The 1920 Census for the same district of Franklin Township shows a family that had grown to include the following children: Franklin C, Harry T, Charles T, Susan C, Laura G and George W.

In the 1930 Census shows that the family grew once again. Their children living at home were: Franklin C, Harry T, Charles D, S Katherine, Laura G, George W and Minnie I. This census shows that John, Franklin, Harry and Charles were all laborers on a fruit farm.

The 1940 Census for Franklin Township of Adams County, Pennsylvania shows that there are less people living in the household. Along with John and Lillie, there was Franklin, Harry, Charles, and Minnie. Ralph Kline is also listed on the census as a college student. While Ralph was studying, John, Franklin, Harry, and Charles were still laboring away on the fruit farm

John Weaver passed away Wednesday, July 11, 1951 in the Cumberland Township as indicated in a Gettysburg Compiler dated July 14, 1951. His wife, Lillie, passed away September 21, 1960 at her home in Biglerville, of a coronary occlusion. Upon her passing she had 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
